Kookaburras, Cape Hillsborough, Queensland
Cape Hillsborough is well worth a visit, a stunning spot, tucked away on the Queensland coast. It is renowned for the wallabies that come down to the beach at sunrise, but unfortunately the day we were there it was so windy, none of them ventured out. I had to settle for this shot of two Kookaburras sitting in a tree in the woods.

Iguana, Aruba DWI
Walking amongst the cacti in Aruba, I nearly trod on this monster, he was probably close to a metre in length including the tail. I'm not sure who was more scared, but I kept moving closer and closer with my camera, until he finally upped onto his hind legs and ran off. They look nasty but they're herbivores.

Albert on the washing line
This is Albert, our resident Kookaburra. Sometimes we go weeks without seeing him, and then he seems to be around all the time. At dusk, he can often be seen sitting on the gutter or as on this occasion, on the washing line, waiting for dinner to pop its head out of a hole in the ground nearby.
