Tanjung Aru, Sabah, Malaysia

The North Borneo Railway was originally built to move timber from the jungle to the coast at Tanjung Aru. Today it carries commuters and schoolchildren as well as timber and other commodities, and once a week they run the old Vulcan Foundry steam engine on a tourist special. It makes a spectacular sight and is seen here shortly after departing Tanjung Aru.
